This is one of my dearest friends, Sara (aka STS who has guest posted about cool toy storage and Monte Designs' Luca Glider). One of the many things we have in common is the fact that we both, when pregnant, get bellies as big as a house(s). One of the key differences, however, is that Sara carries it off with aplomb and looks amazing, while I just looked scary and spent most of my days whining and searching frantically for a place to sit.
Sara, due in August, came out shopping with us. Shopping. As in walking around and chasing her (two!!) boys. Nice work, girl. You are fearless.
Not only did Sara look great, but she served as a reminder that sometimes.... simple is best. She looked so fab, in fact, in her basic tank, skirt and gorgeous shoes that much of the clothing on the racks felt fussy and overdone in comparison.
Sara is wearing a Gap skirt, belt, and tank. Her sandals are from LOFT and...are currently 40% off??!! Nice.
To recreate? Grab some totally hot, totally comfortable flat statement sandals. Wear with a simple tank, skirt and bag. Throw on one major accessory. Maybe a belt? Maybe a cuff? Whatever. Done.
Sara, thanks for being such a good sport - even at 9 months preggo. I adore you.
