My search is over. Ten years ago (I kid you not - ten!!!) I saw someone walking down the street with this umbrella.
It was love at first sight. (the 'brella, not the boy)
Unfortunately, I was never able to catch up to them to find out where they got such a fabulous umbrella. Until now. {sigh of bliss}
One of the (many) blogs that I follow recently posted about this umbrella. I would love to give a shout-out and say thank you...but I couldn't find the article again, or remember who originally posted it. (If it was you, let me know!)
But it's the Sky Umbrella from the MOMA store in NY. And also comes in a portable version and a kid's version. So. insanely. cute.
It turns out that the MOMA store has a few other amazing umbrellas:
The first is a cool Marimekko print - love the pop of pink. And in the last one, the splotches actually start out white, and turn colors when wet.
Here's a link to MOMA's Umbrella collection.
The other (surprising) place to find really cool umbrellas? Echo Designs. Check it:
Of course I love the stripes. Wouldn't these be a cute Mother's Day gift from a kiddo?
Happy umbrellas. They just make me happy about Spring.
Happy Spring to you.
xo,
S
