Happy Valentine's Day, Mamas! Valentine's Day is a perfect time to chat about something near and dear to my heart: nice lingerie (hello, La Perla!). I looooove nice lingerie. In fact, before R was born, I had amassed quite the collection of tiny, 32-AA bras.
HAHAHAHAHAHA
Since R was born, my now-saggy C-cups and I feel the urge to throw a pity party around Valentine's Day for the boxes of pretty pretties we no longer wear...but this year, we decided to round up a few (ok, TEN) of our very favorite nursing bras. These are so gorgeous you'll want to wear them long after you stop nursing. (Unless, of course, you wear them to death like we do, and then they end up stained and shapeless. But you get the idea.)
Cause You'll Never Go Wrong With Black Lace
Really, enough said. These are drop-dead gorgeous. And the Le Mystere is crazy-sexy.

Flirty Brights
The bright straps on the bras below might actually look cute peeking out from under a tank top. My favorite summer nursing bra is still this one with the lace straps, but these might be new contenders!!

Oh-So Pretty
I'll never be able to resist a bra called "Strawberry Shortcake", and I love the vintage feel of the turquoise bra with ivory lace. These bras are just so pretty, and such a nice reminder that Spring is on it's way!!
Nursing bras have come a long, looooong way since I had R. Even serious lingerie houses like Agent Provocateur are now making a fabulous nursing bra. Victoria's Secret has a cute, everyday, nude plunge nursing bra, and even the Gap has a nice (if a bit mundane) selection of nursing bras. But my very favorite go-to places for gorgeous nursing bras are the following online retailers:
(NOTE: I've also linked to my favorite brands, below.)
ASOS.com
This UK-based online retailer has the best selection of gorgeous nursing bras on the web. My only complaint is that they don't really give you a good way to browse the collection, but if you type "Nursing Bra" into their search box, you should get a complete list. They carry the most comprehensive selection of fun, pretty nursing bras, but are light on the traditional styles....which, honestly, I'm OK with. Instead of brands like Bravado and Bella Materna, look for nursing bras by Cake Lingerie, HOTMilk, Emily, Freya, and Elle Macpherson Intimates.
Figleaves.com
Like ASOS, Figleaves.com carries HOTMilk, Emily, Elle Macpherson Intimates and Freya, but they also have a completely fabulous (and totally affordable) in-house line called Midnight Grace by Figleaves. It's fun, pretty, and all under $40. (They also carry Amoralia, who makes the gorgeous bra that Isabella Oliver picked up in the first set above.)
To make things confusing, Figleaves.com refers to nursing bras as "drop cup bras". To find them, go to Women --> Maternity and Nursing --> Drop Cup Bras. Here's a shortcut.
HerRoom.com
If you have trouble finding a good fitting nursing bra, herroom.com is the place to go. Not only do they give insanely detailed explanations about each bra (with measurements), but they offer several different views to show you exactly what each bra looks like, and how it will look under a variety of shirts - button-down, v-neck, and tank top. Their focus is on the traditional nursing bra, but they also carry Le Mystere, HOTMilk and Belabumbum nursing bras. To find the nursing bras, first go to their Maternity section, then Nursing, then Bras. Or just click here.
