HUZZAH! So very excited. Ever since I bought my OTK boots, I've been stunned with how much I already have to wear with them. Leggings, gypsy pants, a cute blousy dress and tights--even a pair of skinny capris that magically turn into long pants when hidden within the high boot (a good thing, as I'm wearing every darn pair of pants that still fits now that I'm halfway through this pregnancy).

With the leggings, especially, it's been a transformation. I've always been a bit wary of them--it felt too comfy to be true. Now, when I put on my boots, I feel put together--and yet like I'm still in pajamas. Stylish + comfy = happy mama.

And my velvet blazer is one of the things I'm most bummed about losing to pregnancy belly this year. Maybe I'll just have to find a cute maternity one...and in purple no less!

FABULOUS!!! I am glad you came to your senses. Amy above has the number one secret to wearing over the knee boots--LEGGINGS!
I cant wait to see all the hot moms in their OTK boots.
I couldnt be happier :)

I love the look of OTK but what do you think about them on people who are short? I am 5'2" and I am afraid that they will cut me off and make me look shorter. What are your thoughts?

Ashley - You are in luck! Some people lie about their age; I lie about my height. I refuse to reveal my true height, but let me just say that I GET YOU. So - here are some things to keep in mind:
1. OTK boots with a heel will always work.
2. OTK flat boots can work, you just want to keep the look a bit more monochromatic, and sleek. Think dark jeans/leggings, dark boots, simple top. Or dark tights, dark boots, empire waist dress (will draw the eye up, making your legs look long).
3. Actual height only matters so much - it's really all about proportion. If you are proportioned in such a way that people often think you are taller than you are (hint: petite sizes probably don't fit), you can ignore #1 and #2 above and wear OTK boots any way you want.
Hope that helps!!
xo,
S
