Sing it, sister! I gave up cloth diapering for the same reasons....but maybe I'll give it another go once the little man ups his intakes of solids. BTW - I have tears in my eyes I was laughing so hard reading this post. Tears.

FINALLY! Someone who gave a realistic review along with real-life situations. I know my hubby is going to prefer rolliing up poopy diapers in a disposable & tossing them in the trash, but I'm really trying to do what I can to not have smelly diapers sitting in my trash.

We've been anti-cloth for the clean-up and washing issues, so I've been considering gDiapers, but I'm starting to come around after reading about the BumGenius All-In-One. The only thing that's concerning me is the complaints of the smell even after washing.

Hey Melissa!  Start out of with just a few BumGenius, maybe 4-6, which will get you through much of the day.  Ive been part time cloth diapering my four-month-old and occasionally my two-year-old, so I revisited the BumGenius washing instructions.  They now say that you can add a bit of bleach once a month and I think it makes a BIG difference.  I dont usually use bleach in general, but its certainly called for here and the tiny bit of bleach Im putting in the waterways certainly must be offset by the 60+ disposable diapers Im saving from the landfill each month (I hope?).
